John´s love

In L/L Writing we were studying Short Stories. After reading and learning about it's characteristics, as a final task, we had to write our own Short story, including in the end the phrase "And that was the last time she/he/I ever so them". Here is my story:

John's Love

John`s love

It was August in 2015; there were John and Tom waiting for their friends Lisa and Ann in the square because it was John`s birthday and they will celebrate it together. First they would meet in the park and then they would go to have dinner to John`s house. John`s dream was to kiss Lisa, but he didn’t know how to tell her because he was afraid of breaking his good relationship. John called Tom for help:

“I love Lisa”, said John.

“I know, will you tell her that you are going to leave to live in Spain?” , asked Tom.

“I will tell her in my house when we go to have dinner”, answered John.

“That`s a good idea”, said Tom.

“Let`s go to speak with Lisa and Ann, there they are coming.”, said John.

“Hi!”said Lisa ”Happy birthday!”, and she embraced them.

“Happy birthday!”, said Ann.

“Thank you Lisa”, said John, “Thank you Ann”.

Then they went to walk to the square and Lisa and Ann gave John a birthday present:

“This is for you John”, said Lisa.

“Oh! Thank you Lisa, thank you Ann” said John.

“Open it, open it, open it!”, said Ann.

John opened the box and inside there was another box, he opened that box and inside there was an enormous chocolate cake that the girls had prepare for him.

“Oh! This is fantastic girls, you are very good friend”, said John.

“Happy birthday”, answered the girls.

“Well, now let`s go to play and have something to eat in my house”, replied John.

“Let`s go”, answered their friends.

John and his friends went to his house and then  his parents were waiting for him with an enormous box.

“Dad, Mom, what`s this?”, asked John.

“This is your birthday present, happy birthday!”, answered John`s parents.

“Oh! Thank you, you are the best parents I could ever have”

John opened the box and inside there was a very nice dog

“Yes, this is the one I wanted, thank you, I love it”, said John

John and his friends stayed playing with his new dog for some time and then they went to cut the big cake of the girls and sing happy birthday song to John.

“Happy birthday”, said Lisa.

“Happy birthday”, said Ann.

“Happy birthday”, said Tom, “but wait, you thought  I would forget your present?”

Tom gave John a little box; John opened the box and inside there was an image of John and Lisa.

“Thank you man”, said John.

“But wait…, why an image of John and me”, asked Lisa.

“Well, that`s for him to remember you in his trip”, answered Tom.

“What trip?”, asked Lisa.

“I`d never told you, I will go to live in Spain tomorrow in the morning” said John.

Lisa held John and gave him a kiss

“Oh! John, I love you, I will miss you a lot, I will never forget you”, said Lisa.

“And I will never forget your kiss”, replied John.

“Now we have to go to sleep”, said his friends.

“I will miss you all, bye”.

That was the last time that John ever saw them.
